Hi my name is David, I am going to be upfront and honest and let you know that this site was built out of desperation. It is being used to raise cash. I like a lot of other people am currently unemployed, but that is not the main reason why I have taken this time to create this site. A large part of the reason I am am unemployed is down to a medical problem, the problem isn't the actual medical issue, the problem is the amount of time I have to wait to have the problem fixed. I am suffering from a serious back complaint, I have trapped nerves at the base of my spine and am in constant pain day and night, I can't remember how long its been since I have managed a full nights sleep, at present I manage about two hours sleep a night and then its not even a full two hours more like quick naps. My doctor is prescribing Painkillers, Anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, while they do help a little bit I am worried about the addictive qualities of the painkillers, I would rather not have to take them. Anyway here is the main problem, the medical system in Ireland is so dilapidated that it will be more than nine months before I will be able to get an appointment to have the procedure done, you see the professionals in the Irish medical system don't believe that my pain is bad enough to warrant any sort of expediting of my case. So instead of being able to work and get on with my life I have become a drain on the nations welfare system. This is a position I really do not enjoy, day in, day out in constant pain. I am at my wits end with this, I really do want to get back into the work place and be independent instead of relying on state handouts and living on pills. So here I come to the hardest request I have ever had to make. I can have this procedure done privately but the cost is just so far out of my reach, the quote to have me in for four days and have the procedure done is €4000(euros). It pains me so much to have to stoop to this level and beg for the help I need to become a normal contributing member of society. Believe me when I say its so dis-heartening to be placed on the scrap heap to fend for yourself when I have so much to contribute to society. I want you to know again that I am so embarrassed that I have had to resort to this level of begging, before this issue I used to pride myself on my ability to be independent and were possible help others.
